Growing up something I always loved to do with family and friends were escape rooms. Basically you are locked in a themed room and need to solve a bunch of puzzles to essentially escape. Over the years of have done over one hundred different rooms all over the country but I always wanted to create my own!
For over 3 months I created Escape the Citadel, an immersive virtual escape game for your phone. Using the software Figma I programed over 100 pages of illustration to create the illusion of a multi level escape game experience. Nearly every item is able to be interacted with and there are several different paths you can take while playing! To promote this project I created all the marketing assets including a video trailer, buttons, stickers, posters, and 3D sculpted figures using the software WOMP.

Game Construction
Using Figma, I built out all the different levels, rooms, and interactions a player could access while playing. Spanning over 180 panels the prototype I created allowed for animation and unique puzzles where the player’s actions can change the outcome.

Animation
To give the game a sense of realism and interactivity I added several animations throughout the adventure the player goes on. Using multiple frames creates the illusion of movement in my characters.
Merch and Playtesting
To promote the project I created a vast array of stickers, buttons, and figures. These were given out to anyone up to the challenge to beat Escape the Citadel.
